‘Tribute to a Soldier’ is a landmark in Eco Park (Cape Coral, FL) which honors all service personnel of the United States, for the noble cause of freedom.  The statues are the vision of two local artists, Rudy Diaz Sr., – retired Local Lodge No. 237 Boilermaker – and friend, Dan Pardo.

The statues were established to honor the dedication and achievement of the men and women in the uniformed services of the United States.

With Rudy’s idea, the artist’s vision became a reality. Once the statues were crafted by hand in clay, they were then bronzed. The completed project is two bronzed statues – one 6′ 8″ representing a serviceman in full battle gear; and a 4′ Iraqi boy holding a soccer ball, thankful for his freedom. Both statues are saluting the US flag.
