Local Lodge No. 237 is please to announce the following scholarships for the 2013 Academic year:
Limary Soto, daughter of member Ivan Soto, was awarded $1,000 to attend Gateway Community College, where she will study to become a Dental Hygienist.
Vanessa Johns, stepdaughter of member John Rainhard, was awarded $1,000 to attend Three Rivers Community College where she will work to earn a degree in Business and Human Resources.
Paul Tautkus, son of member Ed Tautkus, was awarded $1,000 to attend the Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA), where he will earn a degree in music.
Michael LeGrand, son of member Dan LeGrand, was awarded $500 toward continuing his studies at Champlain College (Vermont) in Graphic Design.
Valerie Lanteri, daughter of Vinnie Lanteri, was awarded $500 to attend Norwich Technical School where she continues her studies to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.
These scholarships would not be possible without the efforts of the members of the Golf Committee; and the participation of our members – active and retired – that attend the Annual Golf Tournament. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors participating in the event. The only way that the Local will be able to continue this tradition of awarding scholarships is if this fundraiser continues to be successful.
